One of the things we do here at RRF is compost. Well, Joan composts. She saves all vegetable scraps not used for our flax crackers and pops them into this nifty little table top bin that holds a fully degradable bag. When the bag bulges with scraps she pulls it out and takes it out back to our Sam’s Club composter and dumps it in. She occasionally puts in some dirt and waters the stew, but here in Florida the sun does a bang up job of cooking the brew.
In my hippy farm days I composted, but now I live in a condominium. I miss gardening, but not enough to move.
That’s our way, you can read Wired’s Wiki on composting for a more in depth description of how to do it. What’s weird is Wired writing about composting, seems sort of out of their genre, but it’s worth looking at if you are interested in composting.
